Azure’s founder, Glenn Carballo’s journey began in 1998 when he pursued his passion for diving by training as a PADI Open Water Dive Instructor. He gained invaluable experience in dive education and operations while working at various dive resorts before founding DiveWorx in 2005, a dive and travel tours company that rapidly expanded to include motor boats and a comprehensive range of diving equipment.

Actively participating in dive shows across Asia and the U.S., Glenn continues to broaden Azure’s presence in the international and local diving community. He leads the Negros Oriental Dive Resorts Association as the 3rd time President. Committed to providing world-class service, Azure reflects Glenn’s dedication and vision for excellence in the diving industry.

Here’s where you can dive

Apo Island


A 30-minute boat ride from the resort, Apo Island is a protected marine sanctuary renowned for its vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life. Apo is also ideal for snorkeling and diving, with sightings of turtles and colorful tropical fish. Most notably, the reef exhibit at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago is patterned after Apo Island.

Sumilon


Sumilon Island is the first marine sanctuary established in 1973. Sumilon offers stunning wall dives and a variety of marine ecosystems, from coral gardens to sandy bottoms. Divers can explore rich biodiversity, including large schools of fish and the occasional reef shark.

Oslob Whale Shark


Dive with gentle giants at Oslob, where you can encounter whale sharks up close. This unique experience allows divers to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

Masaplod Norte


Masaplod Norte features an artificial reef created from old tires, attracting a plethora of macro life. Divers can discover schools of Yellow Snappers, Bluefin Trevally, and even Green Turtles, alongside fascinating macro critters.

Masaplod Sur


At Masaplod Sur, divers can explore two reef patches separated by sandy gullies. The site is home to diverse macro subjects, including robust Ghost Pipefish and elusive Frogfish, making it an excellent location for macro enthusiasts.

San Miguel Point


San Miguel Point is famous for its sandy bottom and rich macro life, including the stunning stiliger and ship Nudibranchs. Divers may also encounter cuttlefish and flamboyant cuttlefish, making it a must-visit for macro photography.

Talisay Point


Just a three-minute boat ride from the resort, Talisay Point features a sandy slope adorned with corals. Here, divers can spot Harlequin Shrimp, Nudibranchs, and Frogfish in a vibrant underwater environment.

Pyramid


Pyramid is an artificial reef known for its macro diving opportunities. Discover Thorny Seahorses, Sawblade Shrimp hiding in black corals, and a variety of Nudibranchs, making it a captivating site for underwater exploration.

Dauin Sur


Dauin South boasts thriving coral reefs teeming with marine life. Divers can encounter Garden Eels, turtles, giant clams, and blue ribbon eels, all thriving in this diverse underwater ecosystem.

Ginama-an


Meaning “man-made” in the local language, Ginama-an features an artificial reef made from old tires. This site attracts a variety of reef fish and crustaceans, with vibrant sponges and corals creating a colorful underwater habitat.

Dauin Norte


Dauin Norte is the most popular dive site for good reason. With a sandy slope leading to a healthy reef, divers can see Ghost Pipefish, Frogfish, and a multitude of reef fish, including regular sightings of Green and Hawksbill Turtles.

Punta


Punta, meaning “Corner,” is located at the southern end of the beach and features a sandy slope home to unique species like Pink-Eared Mantis Shrimp and various octopuses. Divers appreciate the potential for current and the opportunity to photograph rare cephalopods.
