Dive Sites
APO ISLAND
It’s the highlight of the Visayas a 45 minutes boat ride from the resort.
The Island has a unique protected reef with intact coral garden and reef fishes. The marine reserve began as a project of Silliman University in 1985.
This is also the place of the famous Clown fish-City, a rare phenomenon with hundreds of clown fish living together.
APO CHAPEL POINT
Start depth: 5 meters
Maximum depth: 35 meters
It’s a gentle slope of white sand and has mixed coral heads leading to a very steep slope, and at 18 meters a big overhung and a great wall dive down to 35 meters. Garden eels, frog fish, nudibranch, bat fish, snappers and lionfish..
APO ROCK POINT
Start Depth: 8 meters
Maximum depth: 35 meters
On top of the reef were you can see a massive soft corals only at 8 meters, and gently slope down to 30 meters, And you always had a chance to see Turle, schools of banner fish, morish Idol, butterfly fish, grouper and more
APO COCONUT POINT
Start depth: 5 meters
Maximum depth: 30 meters
Known as the ‘washing machine’, Coconut Point is subject to very strong currents and can be a challenging drift dive with both up and down currents! At slack tide and during certain phases of the moon Coconut is suitable for novice divers, but otherwise it is strictly for advanced divers with drift diving experience.
A coral covered sloping reef gives way to a steep wall in parts and is covered in interesting rock formations. At one point there is a sand channel running between two rock cliffs which provides shelter from the current and is an excellent place to sit and watch the show!Schools of jacks, Turtle, snapper, giant travely, barracuda and more….
APO MAMSA POINT
Start depth: 7 meters
Maximum depth: 30 meters
Mamsa is the local word for jack fish and this is an excellent place to see big schools of jacks. You can swim with them, and if you are really lucky you might see the pelagics fishes, like tuna, that are hunting them! This sloping reef and steep wall are covered in hard and soft corals and sponges as well as hordes of other marine life species!
Mamsa, is famous for strong current but of course this site is suitable for all divers..Big grouper, snapper, jacks, turle and many more……
APO LARGAHAN POINT
Start depth: 5 meters
Maximum depth 30 meters
soft corals and hard corals area. bubbles produced by underground due to geothermal activity continuously erupt from the sand in between the corals. This is a good site for macro, frogfishes, flatworms, nudibranche, scorpionfishes, and ribbon eel.
VIP HOUSE REEF (Dauin)
Shore entry
Maximum depth: 25 meters
One of the first artificial house reef in Negros Oriental made up of tire it’s been almost there for 10 years underwater and corals are starting to grow on top of the tires. Slopes down to 24 meter you had the chance to see frog fish, ribbon eel, varieties of nudibranch, lion fish, stingray, mantis shrimp, and comet fish.
And house reef is famous for the afternoon dives when sunlight falls and may be treated to one of nature’s gaudiest shows as the mandarin fish come out to mate.
DOLPHIN POINT (Dauin)
Start depth: 5 meters
Maximum depth: 20 meters
About 5 mins boat ride, gently slopes down to 20 meters onto a sandy bottom towards open sea. The reef is spectacular for macro dives, nudibranch, frog fish, shrimps, crabs, barramundi cod, double ended pipe fish and juvenile barracuda.
DAUIN (wreck) and sanctuary
Start depth: 4 meters
Maximum depth: 24 meters
Just 8 minutes from the resort, Macro Heaven offers splendid muck diving in shallow sand. And at 24 meters a Toyota pick up been there for 10 years. whiskered pipe fish, seahorse, sepia cuttle fish, harlequin ghost pipe fish, robust ghost pie fish, nudibranch, shrimps, banded pipe fish and more.
MASAPLOD (Dauin)
Start depth: 5 meters
Maximum depth:18 meters
About 12 minutes from the resort. The reef consists of hard corals sloping gently down from 5 meters up to 18 meters. Explore from there and you’ll see schools of yellow tail snapper, schools of jacks, stingray, huge snapper, garden eel. Usually you will meet the big Turtle.
PADI Dive Courses
BUBBLEMAKER
The PADI Bubblemaker program allows children aged 8 to 9 to experience scuba diving in water 2 meters deep. This is the most exciting activity for children.
Under the supervision of a PADI Dive Instructor, your children can play in shallow water, breathe with scuba and blow bubbles. As an option, you may have an Underwater Photographer take souvenir photos.
Minimum Age: 8 years old
- Maximum Depth: 2 meters
- Time Required: 3 to 4 hours
DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
PADI Discover Scuba Diving is the world’s most popular introductory dive program. This program consists of three parts – Knowledge Development, Confined Water Training and Open Water Dive. To participate in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, you must be at least 10 years old.
During Knowledge Development (about 30 minutes), you are given a briefing on basic scuba diving principles and techniques. During the Confined Water Training (conducted in the swimming pool), you learn basic scuba skills such as breathing from a regulator. After 30 to 40 minutes in the pool, you are taken to your first Open Water Dive in front of the Resort. The maximum depth for this dive is 12 meters, but the initial depth is only 3 to 5 meters.
During your 40-minute dive, you’ll discover that marine life is unlike any you’ve seen before in aquariums. They are more colorful and some are naturally curious and may even come close to you.

From the time you sign up and participate in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program. You can discuss how to continue your dive education. Take the next step and earn the PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification.
PADI Scuba Diver
The PADI Open Water Diver course can be done in 3 days, but if you don’t have enough time, you can complete the pre-entry level PADI Scuba Diver course in 1-1/2 days now and upgrade in the future. This course consists of three parts– Knowledge Development Sessions, Confined Water Training and Open Water Dives.
The PADI Scuba Diver certification qualifies you to:
- Plan and dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters accompanied by a Dive Professional.
- Obtain tank air fills or purchase your own scuba equipment.
- Continue your dive education to earn the PADI Open Water Diver certification.
To participate in the PADI Scuba Diver course, you must be at least 10 years old.
Note: Participants who are 10 to 14 years of age will receive the PADI Junior Scuba Diver certification.
PADI OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular recreational diver course and can be completed comfortably in just 3 days. This course consists of three parts– Knowledge Development Sessions, Confined Water Training and Open Water Dives, with the first 2 dives having a maximum depth of 12 meters and the last 2 dives with a maximum depth of 18 meters.
The PADI Open Water Diver certification qualifies you to:
- Plan and dive independent of supervision with another certified Open Water Diver or higher.
- Obtain tank air fills or purchase your own scuba equipment.
- Continue your dive education to earn the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or Specialty Diver certifications such as Enriched Air Nitrox Diver or Underwater Navigator
To participate in the PADI Open Water Diver course, you must be at least 10 years old.
Note: Participants who are 10 to 14 years of age will receive the PADI Junior Open Water Diver certification. Divers aged 10 to 11 are allowed to dive to only 12 meters maximum depth.
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course can be completed in as little as 2 days. This course consists of 2 Core Dives (Deep and Underwater Navigation) and 3 Elective Dives such as underwater photography, night or wreck dive. By completing 5 Adventure Dives, you gain more knowledge of such diving activities, as well as more experience while diving under the supervision of a PADI Dive Instructor.
Upon completion, you earn the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, which qualifies you to continue your dive education by earning the PADI Rescue Diver or Specialty Diver certifications such as Deep Diver or Enriched Air Nitrox Diver.
To participate in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, you must:
- Be at least 12 years old.
- Be a PADI Open Water Diver, Adventure Diver or hold a qualifying certification from another agency.
Note: Participants who are 12 to 14 years of age will receive the PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification, and are allowed to dive to a maximum of only 21 meters, while divers aged 15 and up can go to 30 meters during this course.
PADI Rescue Diver Course
Rewarding and fun is what best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.
Minimum age: 12 years old
Be certified as a PADI advanced open water diver or a similar certification of the same level from another organization. This is defined as proof of certification beyond entry level diver with at least two certifications total. You must have proof of at least 20 or more logged dives documenting experience in deep diving and underwater navigation. Before certification you must have undergone and certified in CPR training within the past twenty-four months. The PADI EFR or PADI EFR/Care for Children course is recommended.
PADI Divemaster Course
Take the first step in your dive career and become a PADI Divemaster. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll expand your dive knowledge and your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.
Minimum age: 18 years old
- Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent.
- Be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent.
- Have logged a minimum of 40 open water dives prior to entry into PADI Divemaster training, and completed and logged a minimum of 60 open water dives with experience in night, deep and navigation prior to certification as a PADI Divemaster.
- Be in good physical condition for diving and submit a medical exam form signed by a physician.
