PADI Discover Scuba Diving is the world’s most popular introductory dive program. This program consists of three parts – Knowledge Development, Confined Water Training and Open Water Dive. To participate in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, you must be at least 10 years old.

During Knowledge Development (about 30 minutes), you are given a briefing on basic scuba diving principles and techniques. During the Confined Water Training (conducted in the swimming pool), you learn basic scuba skills such as breathing from a regulator. After 30 to 40 minutes in the pool, you are taken to your first Open Water Dive in front  of the Resort. The maximum depth for this dive is 12 meters, but the initial depth is only 3 to 5 meters.

During your 40-minute dive, you’ll discover that marine life is unlike any you’ve seen before in aquariums. They are more colorful and some are naturally curious and may even come close to you.

  • Time Required: 3 to 4 hours

From the time you sign up and participate in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program. You can discuss how to continue your dive education. Take the next step and earn the PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification.
